A representative of the Hill Association, Dave Lalonde, told the council the neighborhood has supported similar events in the past and offered organizational assistance. Councilmember Conrad Wilberding moved to approve the street closure; the motion was seconded and carried unanimously.
Council members noted potential nominal public‑safety and public‑works costs for staffing and cleanup but characterized those as manageable given the event’s community value.
