Separately, John Lane presented 'Bridal Town,' a Boston Tea Party–themed musical developed over five years with a 2024 preview in Lenox. Lane said the production raised $35,000 for the preview and that a full-scale Boston production would need roughly $500,000. "This show is ready to go. We need a theater," Lane said, asking commissioners and staff for introductions to venue managers and potential producers.
Commission members acknowledged the potential economic and cultural value of both projects and directed staff to circulate contact materials and slides to commission members so local leaders and institutions might offer support or venue access. No formal financial commitments were made during the meeting.
