Teton County approves FY26 ED Pro grant agreement; county exposure said to be minimal

The Teton County Board of County Commissioners on a unanimous vote approved the fiscal year 2026 ED Pro grant agreement presented by TREC.
County staff said TREC supplied requested financial documents and a work plan and that the agreement requires no county funding unless TREC fails to provide the agreed business-mentoring hours. Andy Epperson, who identified himself as "AD Pro for track," told the board the SD SBDC program had already booked $6,300, reducing the county's potential obligation under the agreement from about $8,200 to roughly $1,700. "We booked 6,300," Epperson said, "so now it's down to about 1,700. That will be booked out in, like, another month." The board moved to approve the agreement; the motion carried.
The agreement retains a caveat that if TREC cannot meet the required mentoring hours the county might be responsible for matching funds. County staff said they believe TREC has scheduled sufficient hours to cover the work plan and that the county is unlikely to be financially liable.
Following the vote, the presenter provided the board with a copy of the signed agreement for county records. No further fiscal commitments were made during the meeting.
