The referral begins the committee process; any hearings, amendments or funding specifics will be developed by the Transportation Committee and returned to the full House for consideration. At this session there was no floor debate of the substance of the governor’s proposal and no vote on funding or language.
The transportation committee will be the primary forum for developing the details of the governor’s proposal and for hearing testimony from municipal officials, state transportation staff and other stakeholders. The House did not set a timetable for committee action during this session; timelines will be determined by the committee’s agenda and staff work.
