PERRIS — The council opened its regular meeting with two community‑oriented items: the formal presentation of Jordan McClanahan as the city’s employee of the quarter for the fourth quarter of 2025 and an introduction of Robert Fish as Cal Fire Riverside County Fire Unit chief and county fire liaison.
Community Services Supervisor Cynthia Lemus described McClanahan’s nine years with the city and his role at the senior center before the council presented a plaque and a $150 gift card. McClanahan thanked the council and staff for the recognition.
Earlier in the meeting the mayor introduced Robert Fish; staff read Fish’s biography, outlining his career in local fire service since 1992 and his Dec. 2025 appointment as Cal Fire Riverside County Fire Unit chief. Chief Fish thanked the city for the welcome and emphasized Cal Fire’s role as a partner with local jurisdictions.
Both items were presented as informational and did not require council action.
