Operational details: staff said they cannot proceed with procurement actions until DRCOG finalizes the contract (targeted in February or March). The planned specialist will perform on‑site energy code inspections and help building‑department staff ensure submitted plans comply with up‑to‑date energy codes. Commissioners noted the work may increase the city's ability to implement electrification projects and to secure future grants.
