Commission approves small reimbursement for Center for Wildlife; Earth Day and community events set for April

The Brentwood Conservation Commission approved a reimbursement request to support a Center for Wildlife presentation scheduled to follow the town’s Earth Day cleanup.
S1 said Emma submitted a request for $351.80 to pay for a wildlife presentation at the rec pavilion slated for 2 p.m. after the April 25 cleanup; the presentation is intended to engage children and families with live animals. "So it'll be after the cleanup ... it's really more for ... getting kids involved," S1 said. The commission moved, seconded and approved the reimbursement.
Commissioners reviewed logistics: Wayne will order a Casella dumpster to be on site April 25; Emma requested bags from Litter Free New Hampshire and plans to buy gloves from RJ's; supplies will be made available at the library or town hall in the weeks before the event. S1 said the event and volunteer opportunities will be listed in the March newsletter and promoted on social media.
Other community items: the Brentwood Gathering is scheduled for April 17 at the rec center; S1 and others encouraged commissioners to staff a table and recruit volunteers. The commission also noted a regional conservation roundtable scheduled for March 26, 5:30–7 p.m., at the Brentwood Community Center.
What’s next: supplies and flyer timing will be finalized before April 25; the commission did not adopt additional funding commitments beyond the approved reimbursement.
