Parks commission reschedules retreat for March 11; vacancy outreach continues

The Parks and Recreation Commission voted to reschedule its postponed retreat from Jan. 28 to March 11 (1–3 p.m., immediately after the commission meeting). Commissioner Summer Campbell made the motion to move the retreat; the motion was seconded and passed without recorded opposition.
Staff also updated the commission on membership: the panel currently has four vacancies, and members were encouraged to contact potential applicants. The commission discussed subcommittee assignments and agreed to address committee membership and the marketing-chair role at the March retreat.
No formal votes were recorded on appointments during the meeting; staff said candidate application and review processes go through the city and must be resubmitted if older than 12 months.
