Commissioners moved to accept the written decision as presented and voted to approve it. Staff said the variance had undergone legal review and that the written decision documented the commission’s prior determination that the project met the variance criteria.
In administrative business, staff reminded commissioners that terms expire in October and that one member (Tyler) has indicated he will not seek reappointment. Staff also said planners will circulate documents summarizing recent changes to Idaho state statute on new domestic wells and will discuss at the Sept. 23 work session whether immediate ordinance changes or policy clarifications are necessary to reflect the new law.
