Motions approved 3‑0 included awarding the 2026 shade tree maintenance contract to Tremendous Trees (contract total stated as $9,715), the landscaping contract to Andrew's Lawn and Landscaping ($48,930) and the rain‑garden maintenance contract to Archie Wild ($20,336). The committee rejected all bids for the tree‑planting contract and agreed to revisit procurement later.
The committee tabled the traffic‑signal maintenance and custodial service awards after identifying bid paperwork or price questions; staff said they will rebid or bring additional documentation. Members also discussed awarding the street‑sign contract to National Highway Products and indicated they have worked with that vendor in prior years.
The committee approved the CCSWA fee schedule for landfill disposal (Manchester Landfill in Honey Brook) and discussed an increase in tipping fees. During the discussion staff cited a net price figure (transcript references ranged from $83 to $89 per ton) and noted mattress disposal fees were discussed in the attachments. Staff said tipping fees typically adjust annually and that few alternative landfills exist in the region.
No single omnibus fund transfer or capital appropriation was adopted at the meeting; the motions were procurement and fee approvals recorded for the 2026 operating year.
