The Milton Planning Commission canceled its scheduled meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 11 after officials determined the panel did not have a quorum, an unidentified speaker said.
The meeting opened in Council Chambers, where the presiding speaker conducted roll call. During roll call, Commissioner Boyle answered present; Commissioner Oler was not present; Commissioner Johnson stated present; Commissioner Zarrow was absent; and Vice Chair Whelan was present. The speaker then said the lack of a quorum prevented the commission from conducting official business.
"We will need to close the meeting tonight because we do not have a quorum," the unidentified speaker said. The speaker said staff would work to post a postponed date and that the commission's next meeting would be March 11.
No formal motions, votes or public hearings occurred before the meeting was closed. The commission said it will post updated meeting information on the city website.
The meeting was adjourned without action.
