The presentation noted federal funding via FAMPO and additional local matching funds; staff emphasized the project’s value for walkability and transit connectivity.
Council members raised questions about right-of-way geometry and existing PWC fencing that protects watershed infrastructure. Staff said they will meet with PWC, complete property surveys, refine the alignment to preserve water-quality protections and return to council with construction-ready drawings. The motion to continue design work passed unanimously.
