Beaufort County officials announced three public meetings for Wednesday, Feb. 11, including a Daufuskie Island Fire Department Board of Commissioners session, a county stormwater utility meeting and a virtual Economic Development Corporation session.
Matt Golden, a BCTV host, said the Daufuskie Island Fire Department Board will meet at 1 p.m. at 400 Hague Point Road on Daufuskie Island; the agenda includes a financial report review, consideration of approval for January 2026 and an operational update. "Full agenda packets are available on a link found at beaufortcountysc.gov/calendar," Golden said.
The county's stormwater management utility board is scheduled to meet at 2 p.m. in the Beaufort County Council Chambers, 100 Rebo Road, for the item of old business that includes election of the chair and co-chair and consideration of the fiscal year 2027 stormwater budget.
The Beaufort County Economic Development Corporation will meet virtually at 4 p.m. Agenda items announced include an update on the sale of Lot D in the Beaufort Commerce Park; consideration of projects listed by the EDC as "Project Ceramic" and "Project Helicopter" for job-creation grants; consideration of a development agreement for a speculative industrial building; a letter of recommendation regarding development of a hangar and fixed-base operation at Hilton Head Island Airport; an update on the sale of a 31.79-acre property in the Beaufort Commerce Park; and an audit update. Golden said a public Zoom invitation is available in the agenda packet.
Meetings will be broadcast on BCTV and simulcast on the county's YouTube channel. For agendas, meeting packets and viewing information, the county directed residents to beaufortcountysc.gov/calendar and the county news page.
