The consent agenda passed by motion and included financial reports, accounts payable, payroll and related transfers for the period Aug. 1–31, 2025; staff reported total disbursements of $4,523,091.52 for August 2025. The board then considered a rezoning application from Hope Properties (tax map 71‑A‑151‑A; 1759 US Highway 340, Stanley) requesting rezoning from residential to commercial for a 0.4595‑acre parcel; planning staff summarized agency comments and recommended scheduling a public hearing. The board moved to hold a public hearing on the rezoning at the regular meeting on Oct. 20, 2025 and directed staff to provide notice under Va. Code §15.2‑2204; the motion carried.
