The vote came after commissioners discussed that artists had not been given sufficient time at the prior meeting to present. The commission named applicants associated with this NOFA as "Laura Wilheim" and "Ted and Frank Wilson" of Rainforest Project; a speaker reported Ted Wilson would not attend this meeting and another artist had not appeared. With no additional presentations, the commission decided to proceed with the existing recommendation and forward it to the city council for final consideration.
"I make a motion to keep the decision the same," said Commissioner Crafts. One member said, "I have to abstain," during the roll-call vote; the chair then announced the tally as four yeses and one abstention and confirmed that the motion passed.
The action will be forwarded to the city council as the commission's recommendation. No amendments or alternative selections were adopted at this meeting.
