Town staff reported that six proposals were evaluated and that American Pools offered the most complete, all‑inclusive bid with fewer add‑on options; the town manager told the council that although American Pools’ base price was among the higher bids, the all‑inclusive scope made it overall the best value for Somerset’s pool programming and operational needs. The pool committee recommended American Pools.
Council moved and approved the award; members who spoke in favor noted American Pools successfully managed the pool in the prior season and reopened the facility on schedule. Town staff will finalize the contract and return an executed copy for the public procurement record.
