The staff presentation noted that in 2024 the council scheduled two work sessions but canceled the second; the recommendation this year is to hold the primary session on March 17 (aligned with the regular work session date) and keep March 31 as a tentative backup. "The introduction for the next year's budget will be 04/07/2025 at our regular monthly council meeting, and an adoption will be made there for 2025 at our meeting" (speaker 3).
Council members raised schedule conflicts related to spring break and individual commitments and discussed adjusting meeting times (5:30 p.m. vs. 7:00 p.m.). The group agreed to place the sessions on the calendar and asked staff to accommodate members' availability where possible; the council did not change the proposed introduction and adoption dates.
