On grants, the manager said the town applied for a Sustainable Maryland Action Grant (the manager reported a $15,000 figure for that application), and noted other grant opportunities under consideration with higher caps (manager stated some opportunities exist with maximums "up to $100,000" and others "up to about $50,000"), noting that application maximums are not guarantees of awards.
What happens next: staff will circulate a revised timeline with more precise dates and milestones, continue work on design documents, and return to the council with an implementation plan for the permitting system and updates on grant outcomes.
