Lake Havasu opens 60‑day review of 2026 general plan; survey open through Feb. 24

City Manager Knudson told the Lake Havasu City Council on Feb. 10 that the city has opened a citywide citizen survey and launched a 60‑day public review period for the draft 2026 general plan update.
"The survey will close on February 24," Knudson said, adding that the survey was mailed to a random sample of residents and is now open to all online at lhcaz.gov. Knudson also announced a public open house on Feb. 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Community Library (Meeting Rooms A & B) where residents can review the draft general plan and provide comments.
Knudson used the report to note recent community events, including Winterfest and the first GAIN (Getting Arizona Involved in Neighborhoods) event, and to thank staff and partners for coordinating outreach. The city encouraged residents to read the draft plan, provide constructive feedback and participate in the open house and online survey during the 60‑day review period.
The city manager said comments received during the review will be used to guide updates to the plan ahead of the next steps in the process.
