The Oklahoma House of Representatives convened on Feb. 11 and completed routine proceedings that included roll call, an invocation and the formal recognition of a nurse of the day before adjourning.
Chaplain Ronnie Wilson offered the invocation, saying, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit,” and closed, “In Jesus' name, amen.”
Representative Alicia Haynes Timmons introduced the nurse of the day, Angie, saying she "is an RN and a DNP" and noting that the nurse recently retired after a long career that included service as chief nursing officer at Integris Health. Timmons extended the privileges of the House to the guest.
The presiding officer also introduced visitor Sarah Stevens and her newborn, Kelby, from the East Gallery and welcomed leadership students from Great Plains, who were recognized in the South Gallery.
Late in the session the floor leader moved that the House stand adjourned until Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, at 9:30 a.m.; the order was approved and the House adjourned to that date and time.
The day's actions were procedural and ceremonial; no committee hearings, bill debates or recorded roll-call votes on legislation were taken during this brief session.
