A facility presenter said the policy had not been updated since 2019 and noted COVID‑era adjustments had been made previously. The presenter described a targeted amendment to clarify language in Appendix A: residents at the Work Release Center who are not participating in outside work assignments will not be charged the additional work‑release center fees historically assessed to those who leave the facility for employment. “The rates are in alignment with surrounding counties. So we’re just increasing those,” the presenter said.
Board members moved and seconded the motion to adopt the policy with the amendment; the board approved it by voice vote with no recorded opposition. The motion and the amendment were presented together and accepted during the meeting.
The board did not provide a roll‑call tally during the public meeting. The policy materials referenced Appendix A (page 13) for the specific fee schedule; the board chair directed staff to implement the changes for the Jan. 1 effective date.
