County accepts state transportation allocations and approves purchase of 13 in‑kind vehicles

Dave, presenting on transportation items, asked the board to approve three items related to the Medical Assistance Transportation Program (MATP) and fleet replacement. He said the county’s FY2024–25 MATP final allocation is $1,058,506 and that $75,167 will be processed upon approval to balance a prior underpayment. For FY2025–26, he said an amended allocation of $1,335,236 was necessary because the program resumed paying for psychiatric rehabilitation services for the first time in about 15 years; that figure replaces the earlier allocation of $1,177,003.78.
Separately, Dave requested approval to acquire 13 vehicles from Penn State using in‑kind funds; the total cost including applicable surcharges is $160,930. He said the vehicles will replace older units (some 5–6 years old or out of service) and that replaced vehicles will be liquidated at auction.
Commissioners approved the three transportation items by voice vote. Dave said the county will process the $75,167 payment upon receipt of documentation to bring the FY2024–25 allocation to full amount and will work with departments to deploy the acquired vehicles.
