Plans include alternates for reinforced concrete pipe and dual‑wall HDPE on private portions; two county road crossings are specified to be reinforced concrete pipe and the highway crossing will be steel boring. Engineers estimated total project cost around $2,260,000 and proposed a December 15 completion date; liquidated damages were set at $500 per day after the completion date.
The board accepted plans and specifications and set the bid opening for Tuesday, March 3 at 10:00 a.m.; staff will send targeted landowner notices in addition to the notice to bidders that is published in the paper.
