Committee members noted batteries are relatively easy to collect but large televisions and bulky items pose logistical challenges. Martin suggested a town porch or garage drop off could work if traffic is modest; Justin said he would consult staff and the mayor and double‑check whether the county will pick items up inside the town limits.
The group agreed more research is needed — including whether the town can opt in without duplicating its contractor trash service — and asked Justin to report back with options and cost estimates for a bin or an event.
