Poteau School Board approves slate of administrators and hires new Pirate Quest director

The Poteau School Board voted to approve a slate of administrative reappointments and hirings after returning from executive session.

A board member read a personnel slate that included accepting resignations, hiring Heather Roth as Pirate Quest director, and reemploying multiple administrative directors: Bobby Gillum (assistant superintendent), Valerie Martin (financial director), Devin Cochran (director of operations), Cindy Anson (director of child nutrition), Chase Caldwell (alternative education director), Sarah Reed (director of special education), Diana Warren (director of technology), Eric Catholic Hackler (athletic director), Jennifer Lam (high school assistant principal), Angel Smith Hogan (seventh/eighth grade principal), Robin Gillum (PKMS SCC assistant principal), Ashley Oliver (PKMS principal), Andrea Moore (upper elementary principal), Shannon Warren (upper elementary assistant principal), Christy Smith (primary principal), and Jamie Lynn Knight (primary elementary assistant principal).

A board member moved to approve the personnel slate and a second was recorded; the board conducted a roll call and recorded affirmative responses leading to approval. Separately, the board moved to table the appointment of Joe Ballard as high school principal; that motion was seconded and approved by roll call (SEG 1023–SEG 1034).
