Board and Lions Club work toward a task-focused MOU for Mini Park; contract awarded to remove old kiddie area

Separately, the board opened a procurement report for removal of the kiddie area at the Mini Park. Twelve contractors responded to an RFP with low and high bids of $11,800 and $46,000 respectively. The board moved and approved awarding the contract to low bidder Landwork Contractors of (listed town) for $11,800; the mayor clarified the cost will be charged to the parks capital fund (parks fund balance shown as $19,000). Trustees approved the contract by voice vote.
Ending: Staff will circulate the redrafted MOU to the Lions Club and oversee contract execution for kiddie-area removal from the parks capital account.
