Jackson board approves routine consent agenda items, project pay requests and equipment purchases

Public-works contracts and pay requests: The board approved Change Order No. 2 for the 2025 Oaks of Jackson surface course (Spruce Street and Ridgeway Drive) increasing the contract by $24,493.60 and approved pay request No. 1 to Stark Pavement Corporation for $207,838.41. It approved pay request No. 1 for the 2025 Dog Park at Cedar Creek Park to Low Underground Inc. in the amount of $90,134.29. The board awarded the Wastewater Treatment Plant fill-removal project to BMCI Construction for $125,055.
Equipment and grants: Trustees authorized purchase of a Vermeer brush chipper for $88,273, noting the village currently has a single Vermeer chipper that is heavily used. The board also approved Resolution 20 six-one accepting funds from the Washington County roadway shared services grant program.
Personnel and other administrative actions: The board approved operations manager reclassification and internship proposals and authorized recruitment for a permanent part-time operations manager with a 2026 budget impact not to exceed $24,000.
