The Maricopa Planning and Zoning Commission re-elected James Singleton as chair and elected Robert Clow as vice chair during the Jan. 26 meeting following an executive session.
A commissioner nominated Singleton to retain the chair; the nomination was seconded and the commission voted to close nominations and approve Singleton. For vice chair, a commissioner nominated Robert Clow; Commissioner Thomas seconded the nomination and the commission voted to elect Clow as vice chair. The chair announced the motions carried on voice votes.
The election followed an executive session on agenda item 7.1; commissioners moved into the executive session earlier in the meeting and later voted to adjourn it before conducting the officer elections. The commission adjourned the regular meeting after the elections.
