The City of Otsego Economic Development Authority on Feb. 9 approved routine organizational business, electing officers and adopting two annual resolutions to establish the authority’s official newspaper and depository. The actions were taken by voice vote and recorded as approved.
During the meeting commissioners approved the minutes from the Feb. 10, 2025 meeting before moving to nominations for 2026 officers. Jessica was nominated and confirmed as EDA president by voice vote. Adra was appointed secretary; the appointment was aligned with the city clerk function as recommended by staff. Tina was named vice president. Ryan was nominated and approved as treasurer; Michelle was approved as assistant treasurer. Motions were moved and seconded on the record and passed by voice vote with no opposed votes recorded in the meeting minutes.
Staff also presented routine annual resolutions. The board adopted Resolution 2026-01 designating the Star News as the EDA’s official newspaper for publication of legal notices and Resolution 2026-02 designating U.S. Bank as the EDA’s official depository (the authority’s trust accounts are held there). Both resolutions were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
No further substantive action was taken on organizational matters; staff noted remaining rules are unchanged. The authority proceeded to reports and discussion items following the administrative votes.
