Council approves Help of Ojai amendment for case management tied to Cabin Village project

The council approved an amendment to the Help of Ojai professional services agreement to continue case management and wrap‑around services associated with the Ojai Permanent Supportive Housing project (often called Cabin Village).
Michelle Johnson and Help of Ojai representatives described the amendment as the first one‑year amendment for contract renewals that fund case management. The work is supported by the Encampment Resolution Fund (ERF) grant and includes coordination with Ventura County behavioral health services to stabilize encampment residents and transition them to permanent supportive housing.
Help of Ojai staff offered to provide data and periodic reports; Jane Walston said the organization has completed an annual report for Ventura County covering work through Dec. 31, 2025, and will submit an ERF annual report to the state Housing and Community Development Department by March 31.
Council moved and approved the amendment by roll call vote.
