Staff said the project was budgeted and that the county had coordinated with the city on project scope and cost-sharing expectations.
Commissioners approved moving forward and asked staff to begin procurement and scheduling immediately so work could be complete before spring sports seasons. The board recorded a roll-call vote to approve the project and contingency authorization.
Staff will issue purchase orders, finalize contractor contracts and confirm scheduling; the parks director will report back with a project timeline and contract documents as work begins.
