Residents complain of late-night refrigerated trucks at Burcotts; board to pursue citation and zoning fix

Board members and staff said Burcotts has agreed to try shifting arrival and unloading times to reduce overnight noise.
Trustees discussed the village's zoning noise language for refrigerated units, which several described as ambiguous and difficult to enforce. The mayor asked Trustees Stacy and Smith to hold a committee meeting to draft a short addendum or clarification to the zoning ordinance so the village can better address nighttime noise complaints.
Board members emphasized enforcement and collaboration with the business. No formal ordinance change was voted on at the Feb. 9 meeting; the matter was set for further committee work and a future board agenda.
