“Interact builds a bridge between the Rotary Club and our school,” Story Buettner said during the presentation, describing exchange and service experiences. Violet Lamott, Interact club president, recounted community events such as a Veterans Day breakfast and holiday toy drives and said the club had provided opportunities to study abroad.
Students connected their activities to the district’s portrait of a graduate, saying clubs support collaboration, confidence and real‑world skills. Presenters announced planned efforts including a quarterly honors recognition program to celebrate academic growth and a confidential reporting tool described as a ‘scribe stoppers’ program to address bathroom misuse and improve safety.
