Jersey Village council approves final FY25 budget amendments, TIRZ report and a slate of city projects

The Jersey Village City Council on Jan. 12 approved a set of financial and project actions intended to close out fiscal year 2025 accounts and move multiple infrastructure projects forward.
Jennifer, a city finance presenter, told council the ordinance amends FY25 to recognize $5,668,000 in additional revenues and $562,321 in expenditures across funds, driven largely by land-sale proceeds, about $500,000 in FEMA reimbursements, higher sales-tax receipts and a state EMS grant. "This is a cleanup budget amendment," she said, explaining the changes address accruals and activity that occurred after the books closed. Council voted to adopt the ordinance.
Council also accepted the Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ) No. 3 annual report required by state law.…
