The district said it is piloting the tutor and writing-coach features at the high-school level and will introduce Conmigo to eighth-grade math students using state pilot funding. Principals received training and licenses were expected to be active within a week. The presenter said the district will measure success using exit-ticket results, classroom work mastery and platform usage metrics; the writing coach will not auto-score student writing.
Board members raised concerns about maturity and potential distraction for younger students; staff said the phased pilot is intended to test whether benefits outweigh potential drawbacks and that usage will be monitored.
