The resolution recites that the committee held a residency hearing on Feb. 3, 2026, and that after considering proofs and testimony the committee recommended the finding. The board’s motion to adopt the resolution was moved and seconded; the roll call recorded votes of yes (Brett, Melendez, O’Neil, Petrie, Figueroa) and no (Aquino, Fitzgerald, Doctor Giordano), and the motion passed.
The board authorized the business administrator to negotiate a payment plan subject to board approval and directed that written notice be served on the parent, including notice of the family’s right to contest the decision before the New Jersey Commission of Education.
The board adjourned after taking the residency action.
