Senate passes S.208; H.611 read and referred; session adjourns
Summary
On Feb. 12 the Vermont Senate passed S.208 on third reading, read H.611 for first reading and referred it to Health and Welfare, and agreed to adjourn until 11:30 a.m. Feb. 13 after announcing committee meetings.
The Vermont Senate passed S.208 on third reading by voice vote on Feb. 12. The bill, read by the chamber's bill reader as "an act relating to standards for law enforcement identification," was approved after the presiding officer put the question and announced passage.
Earlier in the session the presiding officer read a House bill, H.611, introduced by Representative Burr Berbicoe and noted that it passed the House on Feb. 10; H.611 was referred to the Committee on Health and Welfare for further consideration.
Senators made several scheduling announcements for committee meetings. Senator from Chittenden Central moved that the Senate adjourn until 11:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 13, 2026; the motion carried and the Senate stood adjourned.
