Baker said she is familiar with maintenance pressures and accessibility needs and that she would participate actively: “You will find that I'm opinionated … and will participate,” she told commissioners.
A commissioner moved that the commission forward Baker’s nomination to the City Council; another seconded the motion, and the presiding officer said the motion carried. The commission noted the City Council must give final approval before Baker becomes an official member.
