School committee approves $3.76 million warrant, awards $379,085 gym-floor bid

Donison Allen moved to approve the warrant dated Feb. 10, 2026; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. Later in the meeting the committee voted to accept a single bid for gym-floor replacement. "Total bid, $379,085 for gym floor replacement," a member stated during the motion and the board approved the bid by voice vote.
Also approved during new business were first readings of three procurement- and food-service-related policies (procurement P4320; child nutrition P4321; code of conduct for procurement P4325) presented as outcomes of an audit/review, and several routine personnel actions, including renewal of administrative contracts and a one-year leave of absence for a fifth-grade teacher, Kelly Rogers, for the 2026-27 school year.
The superintendent told the committee that the district will present to the budget board on Feb. 26 and that the town council is scheduled to vote on the budget in June after a public hearing in May.
Votes recorded at the Feb. 10 meeting were by voice and the transcript records committee members responding "Aye"; the meeting did not include a roll-call tally in the public transcript.
