Wayne budget committee adopts rules, approves minutes and elects Amy Black chair

During the meeting the committee opened nominations for chair and a member nominated Amy Black; members indicated assent and she was nominated to serve as chair for the budget committee. The committee also confirmed its next meeting for Feb. 24 and tentatively scheduled joint meetings with the Select Board for April 21 and May 5 to finalize warrant language and votes.
Members reviewed the binder materials Shannon prepared, which included the agenda, prior minutes and the rules and procedures, and were asked to verify contact information listed in the distributed materials. The committee also discussed the process for receiving outside-agency requests and agreed staff would circulate more detailed line-item breakdowns for the segments to be discussed at the next meeting.
The meeting closed with a motion to adjourn that was seconded and carried by voice vote.
