The St. Marys City Council unanimously approved Resolution 1 26 05, formally recognizing a long-serving city employee for 32 years of service across refuse, water and sewer, and general services.
During the reading of the resolution, members recounted the person's employment beginning in 1993 in the refuse department, promotions in the mid-1990s and later to foreman and assistant superintendent of general services, and a final promotion to superintendent of general services before retirement effective Jan. 30, 2026. The council then voted 'all yeses' to adopt the resolution and directed the clerk to provide a copy to the retiree.
At the meeting the honoree thanked the council and reflected on his time with the city, saying it had “been a quick 32 years” and praising colleagues by name for good working relationships.
The resolution was adopted as part of the petitions and communications portion of the agenda; no funding or policy changes were associated with the action.
