At its Jan. 21 meeting, the Brighton Central School District board approved routine governance items by voice vote, including the meeting agenda and minutes from Jan. 7, personnel changes and cooperative bids procured through BOCES.
The cooperative bids cover a medical trainer, health and safety supplies, and custodial supplies; the board moved and approved the motion to accept the bids. The board also approved multiple field trips (including the high school trip to Rennes, France, and DECA travel to Syracuse) and accepted direct gifts: $4,125 from the Brighton Education Fund to create a sensory calming room, $1,225 for second‑grade transportation to the Memorial Art Gallery, $900 to 12 Corners Middle School for a culture and climate project, and alumni gifts to the photo club and PTSA totaling several hundred and several thousand dollars.
Motions to approve the agenda, minutes, bids and consent agenda were moved and seconded by board members in open session and adopted by voice vote.
