Suamico board approves licenses, grant application support and pond-dredging contract

At its Feb. 17 meeting Suamico trustees unanimously approved a Class B/C liquor license for Murphy Holdings LLC, adopted Resolution 25001 supporting a Knowles Nelson DNR grant application for the Calavera Master Plan and awarded the Wisteria Circle pond-dredging contract to the lowest bidder.
The Suamico Village Board voted on several items Feb. 17, all passing unanimously.
Licenses: The board approved Class B malt beverage and Class C wine licenses for Murphy Holdings LLC to operate at Kitchen Table, 1733 Riverside Drive, with Tricia Murphy listed as agent. Deputy Pisani told trustees he reviewed the site and recommended approval after confirming separation of alcohol service areas; the motion passed 7–0.
Grant application: Trustees adopted Resolution 25001 to support an application for the Knowles Nelson DNR grant to fund phase 1 of the Calavera Master Plan. Director Lempke described the request as for "phase 1" and stated the dollar amount in materials as "$200,000.500"; the resolution was adopted by roll call, 7–0. Lempke noted that adopting the resolution does not oblige the village to accept an award.
Pond dredging contract: Public works staff received six bids for the Wisteria Circle stormwater pond dredging. Staff identified the lowest bid at $37,160 (listed in material as McEffrey and Sons); trustees discussed why bids vary widely (disposal logistics and contractor access) and awarded the project to the low bidder using funds from the Pond Cleaning Sinking Fund (current fund balance cited as $255,713). The board approved the award by roll call, 7–0.
