Suamico board lowers West Point Road speed limit to 35 mph after traffic study

DEO Casic reported that staff deployed study signs and collected data from Jan. 28 to Feb. 12; the 85th-percentile speed was 33.8 mph eastbound (vehicle count 119) and 34.3 mph westbound (vehicle count 645). Based on those results, Casic recommended the reduction to align the posted limit with observed traffic speeds.
Trustee McKeefrey offered a motion to approve the resolution and Trustee Romas seconded; the measure passed by roll-call vote 7–0.
