Katie from the Office of Planning presented the January Development Review Committee (DRC) report to the planning board, summarizing application counts, recently approved activity and several highlighted proposals.
Staff said the DRC monthly agenda included 27 applications: three subdivisions, 14 site plans and 10 extension requests. For approved or conditionally approved applications, staff reported creation of two residential lots and six nonresidential lots. Site-plan totals for the month included roughly 62,000 square feet of industrial space and 20,000 square feet of commercial space.
Katie highlighted three projects: ESH Properties in North Brunswick proposing two warehouses totaling about 43,000 square feet on Route 130 and Quarry Lane; a Just Nation site plan in Edison proposing a 13,500-square-foot warehouse near the Turnpike and the river; and a proposed 6,500-square-foot fast-food restaurant and retail/office building in Old Bridge on Route 9 and Downing Street. Staff also noted one exempt site plan processed in January: a proposed car-rental facility on St. George's Avenue in Woodbridge.
Board members were invited to ask questions and the item concluded with no formal action recorded at the meeting.
