Officials and comments
Chair Alderman Lundrum reported the public services & safety committee recommendations. Alderman Palmo (spelled in transcript as Palmo/Palno in places) and other members discussed budget impacts and staff workload on concurrent projects. One council member noted doing two HVAC floors together would yield energy efficiencies and cost savings over separate projects.
Following the recorded votes the council approved a motion to convene into closed session under Wisconsin Stat. §19.85 to deliberate negotiating the purchase of public properties for several listed parcels; the roll-call vote to enter closed session was 9–0.
What to watch next: Several of the items approved require contracting and implementation steps by city staff. The special-assessment final resolution on sewer and water work — raised earlier during the public hearing — is scheduled to return to council in two weeks for final action.
