The resident said, "I just wanna ask a question. Is all the opioid money spoken for this year," and described the nursing-school request for program-start funds. County staff responded that the packet had closed "a few days ago" and that "we have 11 applications" that will be graded by committee; once graded they will go before the budget committee and then the full commission for final approval.
A staff member directed the resident to work with Susan in the office to review applications and eligibility; staff said if applicants do not meet the matrix they can be assisted through the application process. No decisions on awarding opioid-related funds were made during the meeting; staff described the next procedural steps for review and commission approval.
