Culpeper superintendent named Region 4 superintendent of the year

Laura Hoover, speaking for the division, announced that Division Superintendent Dr. Tony Bridal was named Region 4 Superintendent of the Year and will move forward to the statewide selection.
Hoover praised Bridal’s work on career and technical education and partnerships with the Virginia Community College System that she said expanded programming and facilities access for students. She also cited his advocacy on teacher licensure reform and collaborative leadership across neighboring counties.
"Please join me again in congratulating Doctor... Bridal on this well deserved honor," Hoover said. The board offered congratulations; Bridal did not deliver an acceptance speech at the meeting.
The recognition was presented as part of the board appreciation and clerk appreciation items on the agenda.
