Summary
The Liberty Hill Education Foundation told the board it awarded a record number of grants and increased total giving in 2025, distributing $127,740 in teacher grants in December and $219,098 back to the district in 2025; the foundation has provided about $727,000 since 2019.
Mike Bowles, representing the Liberty Hill ISD Education Foundation, presented the foundation’s year‑end review and fundraising plans.
Bowles said the foundation rebranded this year and expanded grant activity: in December it awarded $127,740 across 72 teacher grants; in May it awarded $45,000 in scholarships to 18 seniors; and the foundation returned a total of $219,098 to district programs in 2025. Since its 2019 founding the foundation has contributed roughly $727,000 to the district and plans fundraising events including a gala on March 5.
Bowles credited district communications staff and community partners for outreach and said the foundation’s Grow Your Own scholarships and campus grants aim to fill gaps not covered by the district’s operating budget. Trustees thanked the foundation for the support.
