The Needham Conservation Commission opened a limited project Notice of Intent for 636 Charles River Street (DEP file 234‑958) on Feb. 12 and continued the matter to its Feb. 26 meeting after staff identified several outstanding items.
Deb (conservation staff) told the commission that the pond targeted for treatment spans three properties and that the filing included only the applicant’s signature; DEP guidance and commission practice require either signatures from all affected owners or a revised plan showing treatments limited to the applicant’s portion of the pond. Staff also noted an open order on the property that must be closed out and that town drinking‑water lands are adjacent to the work area.
Because the notification period had already run, the commission opened the hearing for the record but voted to continue so the applicant can supply the missing owner signatures or submit a plan revision. The continuance was set for Feb. 26, 2026.
